Congressional Dems Get on Board With Obama’s Tax Message report: National Journal

by on 07/11/2012

The Democratic Party is lining up to push President Obama’s decision for a restoration of some pre-Bush tax rates, in fact adopting Clinton’s tax moves that produced the last budget surplus seen in this country.

Discussion seems to indicate the present lowered rates to stay in affect for earners under about the $250,000 level to stimulate consumption and the economy while those with higher incomes would have real rates restored.

This added revenue of course is an essential piece of any rational policy to reduce the deficit.
